Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress best known for playing Bo in the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was produced at Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk are the parents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director and is a drama teacher at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories are of attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mom perform. Silk appeared as a little actress in commercials. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto for further development of her acting career in the month of November 1999. Later, she spent the next decade, she moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she began to meet him in 2007 during an acting workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. The couple was married civilly in December 2009. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton following the time that Silk converted to Judaism. Silk had a child that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second son was born in May of 2016. Silk has played a range of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. Silk was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 to play this character. In 2009 she landed the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans her good news that she had become pregnant on the set of the final episode of season 3 in an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was shown by Showcase at an exclusive Season Three show held January 6th, 2013 prior to the premiere. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the beginning of production for the fourth season. Then on June 20, 2013 Silk tweeted that she was ready to the set of the show. The character she played Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Due to the popularity of the show, Silk has garnered a prominent internet following via social media.
